The translucent fabric softens harsh light and reduces contrast on your subject. The metallic silver side produces a bright, hard light with increased contrast and specular highlights. The gold produces a soft, warm light. The soft gold fabric uses a gold & silver zig-zag pattern to produce a soft, warm light that is clean and less intense than gold.  The white surface produces a soft, neutral light.
